Mindful Yoga @ Rams Head, Tue

on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 1:13pm

Instructor: Joanne
A middle-age woman. More Guru-like than other younger instructors.Slow, soft, philosophic talk.

Location: Rams Head
In spite of the crowded indoor basketball court (noise and tremble from the ground) next door,I think the atmosphere in this smaller classroom is more peaceful than in SRC.However, there are windows, so it is visible from outside pedestrians.

Style: slower but deeper stretch, some meditation-like (if you close your eyes) breath training

Again, language barrier occurs, and even worse. Because more anatomical names being used, especially some internal body parts. I enjoy the philosophic talk a lot, even though you canalways find a lot of cliche, but it sounds more inspiring and thought-invoking from a Guru-like person.

Besides Rams Head, this instructor also has classes somewhere else, including a Sunday afternoonoutdoor one in Botany Garden, maybe I should try that some time.

Overall, I prefer one to the previous one (instructor Lindsay), the minor drawback is the time.It is usually close to my dinner  time.

P.S. thanks to the crash last afternoon...... to waste my time rewritting this again. I will avoid to use the FB editor again~

    • WOW~ it would be very interesting if you are instructed by a single Professor on two totally different classes (e.g. library science and yoga)......

    • Thanks for the info. I haven't got a chance to try the morning class... It's really inconvenient to go to Rams Head in the morning if you are not undergrads living in the dorms nearby.
