Tieh Chi Yin Ping (Iron Cavalry Silver Bottle)

on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 12:58am

This is martial art novel by the same author of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" of 1920's in Beijing China.
The novels of Du-Lu Wang, different from the latter famous master pieces of Jin-Yong, are full of practically tragic figures. The Kungfu masters in Wang's stories have to work, arrange business, and worry about rival's plot. And couples loving each other usually face social burdens. People disobey the social rules are usually getting consequence......

Anyway, his novels are heavy pieces, not a fantasy or romantic martial art fairy tales.

By the way, the title comes from famous poetry "Pi Pa Hsing", in which the poet used sound of cavalry's spear and explosion of silver bottle as metaphor of music.
(Pi Pa is a traditional Chinese instrument).
